As our Dispatchers take tire repair calls, the trailer or chassis number and wheel positions are entered, our computer automatically checks our history to determine if we have previously worked on that same half-axle. If we have previously worked on that half-axle, a report is generated indicating the history involved, including the dates, Manufacturers’ DOT Numbers and Retread DOT Numbers on and off for all previous repairs. A Supervisor uses these reports to determine if one of our tires failed.

If a tire we applied does fail within sixty-days of the date of the repair, we replace that tire at no cost at all. We not only guarantee the tire, but the entire repair! We send our Customer an invoice documenting the repair, but the cost is zero. In these situations, we automatically take a credit from our supplier for our cost of that tire. This ensures the quality of the tires we are supplied.

If a tire fails after the sixty-day period, we will be happy to make an adjustment based on the tread depth of the tire, provided it is made available to InterStar.

If a tire fails outside of the InterStar system: The tire must be made available for 7 days from the date InterStar is notified so that we, or our supplier, can arrange shipping and inspection.
