How to Join

Becoming an InterStar customer is easy! If you're a medium or large fleet, it's as easy as filling out a few forms:

  • InterStar New Customer Form
  • InterStar Credit Application (not necessary if you plan on paying via Comchek or credit card at the time of repair)

If you're an owner operator or a small fleet without established business credit, we encourage you to fill out the new customer form below. Without an InterStar credit accout, you still have access to InterStar's services and you can pay via Comchek or credit card at the time of repair.

InterStar New Customer Form

InterStar's new customer form provides repair coordinators with important service details they use provide the quality service. The form asks fleets about cost guidelines, national accounts, authorizing personnel, etc.

InterStar Credit Application

In order for a customer to have a billing account with InterStar, a credit account must be established. If customers do not apply for an InterStar account, they can pay via Comchek and credit card at the time of service.

Fuel Surcharge Schedule

As a privately owned company, InterStar North America understands the need to keep costs down while operating efficiently. We constantly search for ways to maximize the value our service provides. From time to time, however, it is necessary to adjust our service rates to compensate for increases in expenses.

An example of this which is readily apparent is the increase in fuel costs. Over the past few years we have seen the price of fuel jump significantly. This increase came to the point that it was no longer absorbable into the existing rate structure. After careful review of industry practices, we decided that the best way to handle this excessive cost was to impose a fuel surcharge on our services. The transportation industry has widely used fuel surcharges to help compensate for the added expense.

We use a calculation based on the monthly retail averages published by the Energy Information Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy (“EIA/DOE”). This report is publicly available through the EIA/DOE website. CLICK HERE to visit the EIA/DOE website and then click on the "Spreadsheet of Complete Diesel Historical Data" link to access the latest data. This index is objective and is widely recognized in the trucking and transportation industries.

Our calculations will be based on the national statistics for On-Highway Diesel. We will use the calculated average for the previous month as the base for the surcharge. If the average decreases, the surcharge will also decrease. Below is the chart to be used to calculate the fuel surcharge to be added to each invoice:
